A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings
This story was completely different from anything and everything I had ever read. It was so strange. I really found humor in the logic of he parents who found this ”angel”. If you do not know what something is, clearly, the first thing to is to go to your old neighbor because she knows EVERYTHING. Such a logical decision.it made me sad to read about the torture that they put him through and really admire the patience that he maintained. In class we talked about how quickly the attention switched from hi mto the spider girl. We related it to Apple and how we always want what is new and what is better. The attention switched to the woman because she was able to communicate to the citizens. Also because she symbolized sin. She symbolized the sin that is always so intriguing to talk about but we are never gutsy enough to actually do. I thought it was interesting that the pureness of the child allowed him to see passed what the adults were telling him and see the man for what he was and love him through it all.
