something else i wanted to say...

i forgot how easy it is to get lost in a book store.

no, no. not lost as in "i don't know where i am." but lost as in "i forgot that time exists and continues to move forward."

i don't get to go to book stores that often. but tonight i did. i had some film to develop, and so...distrusting the pharmacy and general store services they have around here, i wanted to find a REAL place that specializes in film development. see, the Stevens One-Hour Photo place in Oxford spoiled me. i went to that place for 6 years, and i loved it. but driving to Oxford, Ohio seemed out of the question tonight, and so after some online seraching, i found a Ritz Camera store up in Waldorf. turns out, it's in the mall up there, which i had never been to. so i headed up that way, dropped off the film, and had about an hour to kill.

there were some books i had been looking for, so i ventured to Borders...which also happens to be the nearest decent book store around. amazingly enough, with all of the development going on down here in Lex, we have no decent book stores...yet. and so the Borders in Waldorf is the nearest thing. so i ventured over there, found the books i wanted amazingly quickly (which is impressive when you consider that, when i checked online, it said that one of those books needed to be ordered. but there it was!), and had lots of time left. so after wandering through the CDs for a while, i then decided to venture on over to the science books. whilest i looked for them, i came across the music section instead. i picked one up...something about 20 years of alternative music...and, yeah. i was standing there looking at it for a while. it stuff in there on things like Goth music, Grunge, Industrial, Indie, New Wave, and even Gangsta Rap and Alterna-Country. i read some things on Radiohead and The Pixies. i already have all the Radiohead i could need for now, but it made me want to get the rest of the Pixies' stuff...i only have one album by them so far. there was also a blurb on PJ Harvey, and somewhere in the book they talked about Nine Inch Nails, but i hadn't come across it by the time i looked at my watch and saw just how long i had been standing there, holding that book. it was almost time to head back, and i hadn't even moved on to looking at science books yet. i found the section, but didn't dare pick anything up. i hustled out of there, but not without paying for the books i actually bought, of course.

the pictures turned out nice, by the way, though the first one i messed up. it's a picture of Tom, and i accidentally had the camera set on Panorama when i took it, so there's this really big picture of Tom, and the rest are normal-sized. d'oh!

the end.

*smacks head*, rambly
