Add this to the "funny the first time we heard it, boring and unfunny now" files:
People saying "(something) just made me throw up a little bit in the back of my throat". Other variations include: "that made me throw up a little in my mouth" or "I just threw up a little".
I think this saying originated with those uber-stupid "mean bunny" or whatever t-shirts. The ones with the cartoon bunny that has a big dumb smile on its face, and a whimsical (suppsedly ironic) caustic comment beneath it. Far from clever, these shirts are the official wardrobe of the Cynical Frump. And we all know the Cynical Frump is much more abrasive and difficult to like than the Garden Variety Frump.
