Today
Today I helped build a sun room. I bottle fed the most adorable baby goat you could possibly imagine. I fell in love with a hyper-intelligent pig who involuntarily flops on her side if you rub her belly. I pet dogs, cats, mules, miniature horses, more goats and a llama.
I hung out with some of my favorite people and explored the ranch that will soon be a new daycare and preschool. I installed a baby gate. I chewed on a baby and got mildly gummed (and maybe not so mildly slobbered on) in return.
I used a ball-peen hammer. I weighed in on construction plans and contemplated mural-painting.
I ate my first turkey burger and drank roughly my own weight in iced peach green tea.
I watched the light change into something magical as three kids trooped off into the brush to try to hack their way through to the pond.
And my camera battery died after I got three whole pictures. (Of course they're of the baby.)
Today was an amazingly good day.
