We met a very nice man this evening who has already been helpful. When we got there, the first thing he did was pull out a map of the area and tell us pretty much everything we need to know, including where the best hiking and skiiing and 4-wheeling areas are, and (upon request, of course) where the most conservative areas are. We'll try to stay away from those, though in Utah County it's more like a level 9 conservative vs. level 10 (on a scale of 1-10).
Over the next few weeks and months, we'll get to see what properties he throws at us and give lots of feedback to help him narrow down exactly what it is that we're looking for in our price range. Hopefully we'll be able to find something that we like that won't break the bank. The mortgage rates are higher than they were a year ago, and I really hope that they don't go up much in the next 6 months.
Utah is pretty. The mountains are about 75% covered in snow now. It's very cold, and Ben refuses to wear a coat. I think it's because I told him he should wear it and now it's a matter of pride. Silly men and their sense of pride.
