About me

I've stumbled and fell flat on my face (right smack on the dog doo on the floor). Now I'm back up and walking again.

Speaking of which, I like long walks: from the beach house to the dock in my hometown, and my brother and I would just lazily plod our way through the dark sand, chasing some tiny crabs (crablets) when they emerge from their burrows; from Katipunan Station to my house after a good meal and a movie at Gateway. I'd have my iPod playing just this one song over and over and I'd be smiling and giggling to myself just listening to the words and the music and not caring what other people thought of me.

I hate rain: how it makes the sheets feel damp on my skin and I'd lie in bed curled up under the sheets but still feel the cold. When it rains too hard I'd have to spray insecticide on and around that tiny slit of space under my door because the bugs try to get inside when it starts to flood a little. (I should call pest control, but this is not as easily done as in Sims). I also have no rain shoes, so I have to bring wipes and alcohol every time. Clean freak.

I like rain sometimes though: how it reminds me of some happy days I'd lay curled up in bed with a good book, and I'd be content and not too aware of the dampness of the sheets. I also like the smell of wet soil which rises up right after the rain falls to cool down a scorched earth (I believe this is called alimuom but I'm not too sure.) And also how when you go out of the house after the drizzle, you find the road all clean and sparkly with not one dog poop in sight. It reminds me of second chances and new beginnings.

We always get a do-over. It's my turn for one.
