I ordered some different hats for summertime. Basically called "ivy caps" they're nothing special and nothing expensive. UPS tried to deliver them the past couple of days, but of course I wasn't home.
UPS has a strange policy with apartment buildings; many times they won't just leave the package for you. They have actually started doing that for me because they know I'm never home during the day. If they do leave an InfoNotice, then you can usually log into the web site and have the package held.
Except the hat vendor didn't allow that. They restricted the package to be signature required and not redirected. Now for something expensive, like a computer or fancy watch or jewelry, I can see that. But for a couple of $15 hats? That's ridiculous.
The rep at UPS told me I could sign the InfoNotice and they should leave the package. That they would do that but it couldn't be held at the depot for pickup really annoys the crap out of me. Either they'll leave the package or they'll send it back. I almost wish it does go back because then I can call the vendor and ask them what the hell they were smoking.
Regardless, I will take the order information off of the packing sheet and write the vendor telling them why I am inlikely to ever buy from them again.
Morons.
