"I am not your puppet! And you are not my... puppet... controlling... guy!"

Spent basically the entirety of the last two days watching every Pixar movie with most of my friends. It was huge amounts of fun. I'm going to miss those guys. :(

As is common when watching Pixar movies, I kept noticing things that I hadn't the first however many times around, but the standout this time was that A Bug's Life is an extended take on the fable of the ant and the grasshopper. I really don't know why it took me this long to think of that. It's still cool though. :B I also cried at Jessie's backstory scene for the first time. It's the song. Stupid song. *bawls*

Now, a meme.

Reply and I'll give you four fandoms. You then have to make an entry writing about your favorite character from each fandom, and why.

Axis Powers Hetalia America. I actually made a card explaining why he was my favorite for that Hetalia card project thing at Otakon, but I never got a chance to turn it in. Pretty much what it said was that he made me love my country again. When I first got into Hetalia I was all set for America to be represented as a complete jerk, but to my surprise he turned out to be a well-meaning if slightly overbearing lovable doofus. Alfred showed me that there's maybe more to us than being giant jerks all the time. And that's why I love him. Doesn't hurt that he's terribly attractive also. :P

Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi Ryoushi Morino. I love most of the characters in Ookami-san, but, as you'll see with Lost, I have a huge weakness for adorable guys. Especially adorable shy guys who care so much about their girls. So Ryoushi had to be it for me. I mean, just look at the kid. Sooo cuuute. ^_^ I love how he has a determined side also, like when Ryouko is in trouble. You protect her, Ryoushi.

Kuroshitsuji Grell Sutcliff. Grell is the reason I started watching Kuroshitsuji in the first place. I saw some pictures, heard some stuff, and was all, "Hot effeminate dude with long hair and glasses? Sign me up!" And then I watched it and totally fell for him. That, of course, was before I had wrapped my head around the idea of his being a girl. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, come to that. I'm sorry. But still, singular obsession with Sebastian? Chainsaw in the 1800s (and a fair amount of skill with it)? Impeccable fashion sense? Grell is the best whatever gender she is. Or he. Either.

Lost Daniel Faraday. For most of the same reasons as Ryoushi. Basically, his defining trait is being a complete woobie. Which I appreciate. So much bad stuff happens to him that it's impossibly to not want to give him a hug. He's also super adorable, which is probably related. I've found myself involuntarily squeeing whenever he's on screen. His manner of doing everything is just so cute. And he's a complete dork and also kind of a ridiculous genius. And in the past he had a mullet. And before that poofy hair. So basically, Dannnnnnnnnn.

Also, RIP Satoshi Kon.
