13. Bokurano
Bokurano has the distinction of being one of the few series I was introduced to through LJ RPs (the others being Good Omens and Change Guy). In Bokurano's case, it was route_29, which I followed religiously for quite a while. But waaay back when it had just opened, there was a full Bokurano cast, and I thought that was pretty neat. Y'all know my weakness for things with lots of distinct characters, and these kids definitely were distinct. I was also intrigued by how Maki's player played her as trans, though I later found out that she wasn't, at least in anime continuity; there are about three continuities for Bokurano and they're all different. I've only seen (most of) the anime and I'm kind of nervous to touch any others. @_@ Anyway, most of them idled out pretty quickly, but my interest had been piqued. And I also knew "Uninstall" from the Kumikyoku medley, so, there was that.
So I talked Yuki into watching it with me, and dang. Dang. Punches in the feelings, everywhere. I think I'd already known that it was an everyone-dies type of show, but that didn't make it any less depressing. Those poor kids. Especially after you find out who they're actually fighting against. D: I don't remember exactly what episode we left off on, but I know we were most of the way through. But after a point Yuki got too sad to watch any more, so we never finished. I would like to though, when I can psych myself into it. Maybe they do not all die after all! (that was a joke ha ha fat chance) Either way I would like to draw a lot of fluffy fanart afterward where they are all bros together. That is what I do with series like this. @_@
Also, I just want to say that I really love how two of the kids are named Kanji and Kana. I don't know if they did that on purpose, but there's no way this fanart is a coincidence.
Favorite character: Nope that is not an option in this one I am sorry. I love all these kids. Yes, even Jun. I remember having a bit of a soft spot for Kodama though. Maybe it was the glasses.
Hottest Cutest girl: Well, Machi's got dem freckles. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.
Headcanon: Kokopelli is related to Otacon. Also, Koemushi and Kyubey are bros, but that's obvious.
