It has been a while
As usual I throw myself into my work. I lovelovelove having a boss who says things like "Just tell me what you want to do" and "you got it". I have two new perspective students for "train the trainer" and things are going well. As for the rest of my job, I was officially offered the Companion Animal Specialist position after the RCAC approved me (releases breathe). I'm busy but having fun. I had taken a little mini-break from a social life and am getting more organized.
The bedroom project is about half complete. Carpets were pulled up, floors scrubbed, walls painted light purple with cream/yellow wood work and closet doors. New lamp and bedside table are in. Still working on:covers for 2 pillows, a chair, a table, refinishing the desk, and making drapes. I get a little overwhelmed sometimes, but I try to just focus on one thing at a time.
My animals and a few friends keep me sane. Dusty just always seems to be there to give me what I need; either direct support, or indirect b/c of his need for walks and outdoors time. Speaking of which this weather has been fantastic. I'm really sleepy and rambling. Emily, if you read this, I got your message and really will try to call you soon.
