Anyone with some advice?

I posted the following on Facebook as well. I figured the more eyes see it, the better chance I have of someone hearing my plea.

Sadly, due to a biting incident that occurred back in April, my beloved dog, Howie, will be in need of a loving home within the next few weeks. Due to homeowner insurance stipulations and a lack of reputable insurance companies that can cover us, our homeowners insurance company gave us 30 days to re-home him. If there is any chance for us to keep him, we will, so if anyone knows of any solution to this heartbreaking problem, I would greatly appreciate it. For now, I must get the word out on Howie, in case things don't work out for us.

Here is Howie's history:

He is an approx. 4 year old neutered pitbull mix. He is up to date on all his vaccines and is microchipped. He does have anxiety issues, but once he is comfortable in a home, he is much calmer. He likes to chase kitties, but he has lived with them ever since I had him and does well with them. Although he has lived with a chihuahua in the past, he does not do well with other dogs. He is nervous around strangers and is protective of his people and home. I would not have him around children and would keep him leashed, muzzled or in a separate room when people he does not know come over. He would need to be leashed walked at all times, due to this incident and the fact that he likes to run off at the site of a bunny or squirrel. Anyone can see pics of him in my albums.

Again, if ANYONE knows of anyway we could keep him, please let us know - he is our boy and would hate to lose him. :(
