I had a really good yoga class today. I think this instructor is my favorite, she really gets the group excited without laying down any of the pressure. She also has the cutest belly. While I love going to class and the piece of mind it gives me I still have to ask myself, is it really worth it?

I have no time for myself. I have my alan greenspan book that i am DYING to finish but have absolutely no time during the day to read - ever. I hate that. I either work all day (school and banana) or i do work and yoga. I am working weekends now too. The problem is that this yoga isn't just a relaxing one hour class where you go in and out boom and done with it. its 90 minutes of sweating and concentrating. Even worse, if you take the 6pm class (the class EVERYONE takes) you need to get there at 5:30 just to get a reasonable spot and then you have to wait around or go in the room and just sweat until class starts. after class i usually can't move faster than tortoise pace (i dont know why, i get really woozy i dont know if i am resting enough after class but i also get impatient), so by the time i get up, get my mat rolled up, fold up my towels, squeeze past all the boobs and vaginas to get to my bag, undress, redress, and finally snail walk out of there its already 8pm. 5:30-8pm is not 90 minutes its two and a half precious hours that i could spend cooking or reading or just sitting on my ass. the price is also an issue. at a whopping 20 (the price went up) bucks per class its so expensive to "get healthy" its almost vulgar. I love what it does to my body but its slowly murdering my bank account. There is also the issue of the strong cult-ish vibes this place gives off. its like everytime you go in there immediately they are on you to do more classes, get a longer membership, come EVERYDAY, do every class, do it all day! Uhhh yea...i'd like to retain somewhat of a life so that would be a definite NO FUCK OFF. They were boasting of some hack who wanted to celebrate one year of doing bikram yoga and to celebrate he went to every class offered that day. WTF?! when did he eat? or poop or just fucking rest? all day in a 110 degree room? is that REALLY that good for you?

Aaaaand then there is boob lady. Boob lady comes to the six pm class where her and her friend, runny make-up lady, scope out the spots early and hang around the closet size locker room chatting it up. Boob lady is about 5'11 -6'0 and wears the *special* bikram yoga clothes (stuff i can't justify to myself to buy since my running shorts and sports bra work just fine). The problem with this is that boob lady's top is about 5 SIZES TO SMALL and i'm sorry but nobody's boobs are that big and that stiff at the same time without being fake. so when in class, i often get distracted by the enormity of boob lady's juggs popping out of her top. her top also tends to slide down the more we sweat so it comes to a point where you basically see everything but nipple. i really just want to scream to her GET A FUCKING BIGGER TOP NOBODY WANTS TO KNOW YOU LIKE THAT! but im quiet and anti-social because i dont want to get sucked into the cult. today was particularly special. i got to see a full frontal of boob lady HOLY CRAP *first off, boobs and vaginas that close up make me claustrophobic and uncomfortable* i really did not need to see boob lady's exotic body but at least i can confidently say that THOSE BIDDIES ARE FAKE!

so, fin brève, i have an unlimited months worth of yoga to do, but i dont know about continuing this way. I dont know if the money, the time, the cult-ish vibes or the full frontals of fake boobs are worth it.
