 Today, I'm going to take care of myself.

1. Know your boundaries and limitations - check

2. Be realistic: you can't change people and change doesn't happen overnight - I'm trying to be more aware of this.  I can't change what he thinks or how he thinks it.  I can't expect him to change overnight and I can't expect my feelings to change overnight.  I must overcome this through time.

3. Don't beat yourself up (especially about things that are not in your control) - I have never followed this.  I want to now.  I will not blame myself for anything that has happened anymore.  Things happen for a reason.  I mustn't trouble myself with the "what could haves" and focus on the now.

4. Don't bottle things up - check
