I love this game, but I feel so... cheated and screwed by this. :( I've put so many hours into beating the Seraphic Gate on normal only to find out I get JACK for it. :( I grinded to level 197 until someone told me "dude it's only for infinity mode." And I flipped out a little.

Infinity mode can't be THAT hard, can it? >.>

Don't give it up! :(

I'm more noob. I had to play the Easy mode, so Capell shouldn't be any stronger than level... 70. Or maybe less. I was more worried about enjoying the Story in peace before digging further through the achievements. Then started on Normal, but never really had the patience to keep on going. =/

I beat the game itself at around level 52-53 on normal. lol just goes to show how ridic Seraphic Gate is. I'm also halfway through a game on hard, but. To know I have to go through the ENTIRE game a THIRD time, PLUS the Seraphic Gate, just for one lousy achievement point... :( Broke my heart a little.

First of all: YOUR ICON = WIN.

Oh, well. Do you have a TrueAchievements profile? If you're a achievement "hunter", perhaps it might be worthy, just FOR THE WIN. But by what I'm checking... geez, one of the apparently toughest achievements is worth... 7 miserable TrueAchievement points! (=__=)

Well, to be honest, if I didn't have so much to play, I'd GO for it! :D

yay RE love! :D

And I've never seen this site before. I don't normally try for all of the achievements in a game unless I really, really love it, though. In fact, the only game I have 1000/1000 achievements in is Silent Hill: Homecoming, though I'm trying to get them in Left 4 Dead 2 now, too.

It's ok, man I'll try for the both of us! :D

Do you have the free downloadable vouchers? I haven't given it a shot on infinity mode yet because my dodging skills aren't great, but item creation makes the game much, much easier to handle. The biggest hurdle is really the beginning (and apparently the guard in the first scene). But yeah, tri-Ace was a jerk with that one.

I do not. :O What are they and where do I find them? Do you think they'd really help?

I think that more games should have that one ridiculously difficult achievement point. :D Getting 1000 shouldn't be easy for any game!
Obviously this is much more of an issue in these long RPGs, in which the achievements aren't quick to get anyway.

Yeah, I haven't done Infinity mode though.

I agree, and in some games it's a little TOO easy to get to 1000, but I think it's SO dickish of Tri-Ace to throw off my gamerscore like this. It's making me a little anal, seeing a 4 or 9 at the end of it all the time instead of a nice rounded 0 or 5. And that's irrational and I know it is, but I can't help it. :(

Infinity mode is a nightmare D8 I don't think I'll ever get it, because I seriously doubt my ability to block well enough to make it past the first guard fight. Uuuugh do not want.

Good luck if you do give it a try, though! It's certainly good for those who want a challenge. I'd like to see how anyone clears the tower when that annoying ogre is chasing you down, since I get hit at least twelve times when I try and you can die in about three on Infinity mode.

Oh god that's so not reassuring. ;____; I've never used the block or parry button on either my runs through normal or hard... I hope I can just weasel around it again in Infinity. :(

You could always try it this way:

I've never done this, and it looks painfully time-consuming, but I guess it's better for people who don't really know how to block.

The blocking trick is actually kind of handy - you can trap a guard behind a chair using a glitch and only fight one at a time. Takes a bit longer and it's risky, but either method is taking a chance, really.
