Scrap From an Ancient OC Fic

Aug 05, 2007 17:31

LOL, long time no post. I couldn't seem to figure out a way to organize my thoughts in a homogenous and profound manner as to make it interesting and not dull and it's been months ever since I had a real journal entry. ^^; Oh well. There probably will come a time I've finally found the key to perpetual, interesting blogging. As for now, all I got is a scrap.

I was browsing through my old journals and I remembered this particular journal entry wherein I wrote a fic about my OC, Searlas. I know, my love for KND unfortunately died, and it's been so long since its bye-bye, but I would like to share it to a few who were with me during the KND fandom season. =)
Enjoy.

"3, 2, 1 - KABLAM!!!"
Sparks and television static flew everywhere in every direction the very moment a tall, long-haired blondie stuck a gihoogic outlet to a socket in a wall. He had been working his butt off of this rather humongous contraption to have (as he said three weeks earlier) the most gigantic and prime gaming experience to ever hit one's eyes. And yes, judging by the way the sparks burned through his thick glasses, it was a mighty success.

Recovering from his temporary blindness
, he brushed off a few nuts and screws from his clothes and hair and smiled geekily at his creation: the CONSOLE (Crate of Necessary Silicon Orbs - Laser Equipped) and imagines a future filled with thumb exercises and hand-eye coordination lessons galore.

Waking up from a true gadget-geek's dream, he stared at his masterpiece, examining every tiny speck of faint detail, brushing the knobs, toggling the switches, polishing the glass screens and savoring the smell of brand new console controllers.

"Crack!" went his fingers. His eyes followed the trail of wires until they reached the end of the swarm. Sitting on the far end of the room was a green box, whizzing, sparks jumping from one corner to the another corner and making all sorts of odd electronic sounds. Slowly and cautiously walking in between the wires, he was careful not to trip else he'd be pulling out a few plugs necessary for the machine's operation. He nervously approached the small box like a father would to his once-sick-now-recovered child. He slowly swept his fingers across the surface of the box, caressing the exterior, pulling a few levers, pushing a couple of knobs and took a deep breath. Along the air that he inhaled, a sensation of excitement touched every part of his body, and with this satisfaction that he familiarized himself with his creation, he turned on the console.

Lights flashed everywhere as sparks danced over the walls, buttons and finally, the television attached to the box. Some bolts whirred as the sound of an engine starting rumbled and grew louder every passing second. It was a marvelous disco-like sight - a dream come true to this young boy, backed up by his favorite techno remixes music playing in the background of his imagination. He grinned from ear to ear and picked up  the new game he was about to dive in and indulge. With its signals and flashing patterns, the console loaded the game with delight, her faint giggles ringing in the air.

Und zat ist all. *bow*

As you can see, I need to brush up on my writing skill ^^;. As for the continuation, lol the thought got out of my mind and this scrap does not have a beginning nor an end. It's like a particular event taken from the middle of some unknown, yet to be written story. Well, I do have a  raw idea for the storyline (The console seemingly has a life and considers Searlas her master. Because Searlas's treatment to the console is 'affectionate' and special, she was attracted to him. Unfortunately, Searlas's affections for the console is materialistic and a 'creator-to-creation' relation and so the console mistook this as a rejection. She misunderstood that he was not giving her much attention and with that she attacked him and tried to brainwash him bla bla bla there goes the story. LOL, weird story huh. I uh, haven't thought about the solution to the problem though.) but I'm not so sure if I could/should really finish it using that theme.

Oh well. Next entry coming up in an estimated 26 years.
