HEY GUESS WHAT BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT I MANAGED TODAY

I finished my Milla wig. B)

And quite honestly, I am very, very glad I did it first thing. That wasn't something to be saved for last minute. SEE, SEE? I LEARNED MY LESSON. FINALLY.

Finished base from a few weeks ago

Complete with antenna. (sorry it's tiny, I took it for plurk |D)

Yeah it's not on my head, but I was so paranoid of messing it up especially since it was freshly glued/sprayed that I determined it'd probably need another person or two to help me put it on. |D

As for the end product? YEAH I'm pretty proud of myself. Definitely out of my comfort zone. The entire thing was experimental--I've never sewn two wigs together before and I've never done the ahoge-type thing either. So for my level? I'm pretty satisfied.

However there are still some things I'm not happy with. Like wig volume? Nowhere near as full as Milla's hair actually is. I'd put more of the blonde in but 1. I've pretty much used up the entire wig anyway and 2. I don't want it overwhelming the brown, which is not supposed to happen, and it already feels like that. Though in my defense they were both kind of thin wigs to begin with. BUT I HAVE LEARNED NOW. So if I ever redo this wig (which I HIGHLY doubt because ururughghgghbllbl caulk on my hands) I'd be getting two of each wig. ...Which is way too expensive.

Also there's a part near the base of the antenna where you can see the green. B| It's no biggie and I can stand a certain way so you don't see it BUT IT STILL BOTHERS ME.

Anyway, that's that. Because of my trip to Ohio plus Shanshan visiting, I had to put my cosplay stuff on hold for like a week, so... I'm giving myself one extra week on Milla. And tomorrow? I start sewing. Awww yessss. Such a relief after working on wig sob.
