So, Rachael, Alex, Karen and I just saw Ninja Assassin.
Aside from the redundant title, it was actually pretty funny. We kept laughing throughout the entire thing. The main character... what's his name? Raizo. Yeah. It was pretty freaky because the first thing that came to our minds was... HEI! Plain-looking Asian guy? Check. Nice looking Asian guy from another country staying in an old apartment somewhere else? Check. On the run from an organization? Check. Long hair? Check. Nice personality/cold unfeeling personality? Check. Nice-ass collar bones? Check. Nice ass? Check. You can let your pants slide, boy. No one will mind :|b Main weapon a chain with a blade at the end? Check. "Different" from others like him? Check.
...The list can go on.
OH, and let's not forget the other characters and plot points, too. The landlady was a little old lady. Hei's Raizo's apartment was pretty empty save for a bed and his kitchen. Governments around the world hired the contractors ninjas that came out of the..... family thing? I don't even know what to call it. Then there was the lady, whose name is Mika/Mica (I kept thinking lol biotite and muscovite /geology). She kept reminding me of Misaki. And their names are scarily similar, too. Then there was the guy that Mika/Mica worked with, who had an accent and smoked a whole damn lot. If he wasn't graying, I'd say OHAY THERE 11/11! Oh, and there was blood. Lots of blood. Usually when someone gets stabbed pretty harshly, the camera pans away just to show them falling to the ground and the pool of blood forming around them. No, not this time. They didn't even bother. Stabbity stab stab! Look at all the blood! If I had any doubts that I was watching DtB, they were totally gone when we saw that guy's head being sliced in half! Yep.
That list can go on.
But tl;dr The person who thought up this movie obviously has been watching more Darker than Black than I have and people say my NaNo novel sounds similar to it.
Oh. Let's not forget to mention that the guy who played Raizo is Rain. Yeah. Rain, as in, Korean pop singer. GOD, them Koreans they just everywhere. And hot. augh.
