OKAY yeah... my thoughts on Hearts. SPOILERS obviously so if you're playing the game and don't want to be spoiled theeennn go that way. Or if you don't particularly care about spoilers then go ahead ;o Also: my own romanizations so...
I thought it was pretty good? But then again I don't have very many negative things to say about anything so my opinion is invalid. xD The story was okay, but well y'know it's a Tales game :| It was seriously piled up this high to space with cliches and cheese. Like. Okay. Seriously. It's called Tales of Hearts. The reason why I didn't want to play it in the first place because of the title... 8U But it was a very... warm-feeling game. Like. You could really tell they were all into supporting each other and making sure they were okay. It was very awww. I liked that. :> The battle system was also really amazingly fun, despite the 2D aspect? I know some free run addicts (COUGH) but seriously, the pace and the TP EG really made up for it. ...Anyone who's seen me play it will hear constantly ARATAKA BUTTOBE BUTTOBE BUTTOBE BUTTOBE BUTTOBE... But the only downside of the 2D was like. Innes and Shing would always STAND ON TOP OF EACH OTHER and one would be low health and I would want to heal but idk who I'm targeting so I'd always end up healing the wrong person and then the other would die. Oh. And the graphics were nice too, 2D sprites then 3D backgrounds, kind of reminded me of RO. Music was okay. I actually liked that little song that they play when the kids in Pransule were singing and when Lithia sings her song but other than that none of the others really stood out to me (Or that I can recall off the top of my head). But the theme song grew on me. I like it a lot :D
And the characters~ as usual they were good. I loved Shing as a hero, he is very good at it :> But that one part in the middle after all the Creed business was kind of like, lol. "SHING THE WORLD IS IN DANGER WE HAVE TO SAVE IT." "Not my problem 8Db" Found it kind of funny that Kohaku was the one acting all hero-like at that point like come onnnn let's save the world :< But yeah Shing was good. And Kohaku was pretty good. She started reminding me of my host mom from Japan at one point. xD Don't ask why... I can't really put my finger on it, but I get that feeling. OH and I like Hisui if that wasn't obvious. He was hilarious on like a million different levels and I loved how he used Shing as a punching bag. His relationship with Lithia was absolutely adorable, but kind of tragic and sad too. D: Innes was nice. I liked putting her in my party because TANK. Plus she could heal herself a little so we were good. I actually had a sneaking suspicion about her betrayal but didn't know she'd be a Lieutenant. xD Came in handy later on, though. Ohhh silly imperial military. ...And BERYL. I can sort of see why everyone thought she was really annoying? But she didn't really bother me at all. She was kind of a crap fighter (never liked mages much...) (she was never in my party that's why her relationship with everyone was so low) but I like her :< And Kunzite was god, loolooolololol he was amazing. And Cal. Omg don't get me started. I thought he was a douchebag at first but after Pransule I was like okay, this dude's kind of okay but then when you see him again in Estrega SGLKEJMKJKLDGKlafkwefj. Why did you not get the Flynn treatment, cal ;_; I wanted you to fight with me you would have been a wonderful cheat. I felt really bad for him in the end (gain some, lose some D:) and he grew to be one of my favorites except ew lol that haircut. Speaking of him, I really, really liked Peridot and Byrocks, too. Peridot's like random conversations/comments were gold ("If you take over my job, Byrocks, I'll go out with you." "Sorry, but I would prefer Lithia." "...Oh, I didn't know you were loli") ejwfjekg and I was so sad to see them go D: WHY And then Lithia/Flora/Creed were pretty cool. Lithia was nice, Creed was fabulous (oh tales and your fabulous villains), but I didn't know too much about Flora to make a solid conclusion D: Then all the robots were wonderful. Roa, Rino, Incarose... etc Actually, I think the only character I DIDN'T like was Cornelvin but eh, he was gone pretty fast. :|
I thought it was really interesting how their 'technology' this time wasn't even technology, and it was all about the strength of heart and stability of emotions. Like the crazy technology stuff wasn't even on their world (here's lookin' at you, Quartia. You and your eye rape). I love how the concept was that determination/purity of heart really made you strong, and that losing control of yourself made you seriously weak. Like y'know usually how a character or whatever gets really pissed and they swing their sword or whatever and they're magically like 10x stronger? Yeah, not this time around. Going into rage mode with a Soma would actually make you weaker and not only that, damage your Spiria. I mean, Cal was about to do that when Shing stopped him. That's also how Shing lost himself to Creed. Had Shing been able to not be so easily pissed of by Incarose then Creed probably would've never showed up. And they always addressed the fact that being able to be supported by each other and opening yourself up to people made you a rather stable and happy person. The Soma Link stuff also was kind of cheesy but it was kind of a visible representation of all of that stuff. ...And despite the cheese it really is kind of true. ......And despite it being a stupid piece of fiction it really made me realize how incredibly weak I am. I mean, I knew this before but it was kind of like... ouch. A slap in the face, and kind of scary... It also kind of made me jealous (what me? Jealous of pixels?). Now I want things that I know I'll never get D:
And last but not least: the ending. It was a very sweet and cute ending. Creed's final words kind of made me go "awww..." (I still remember what he said, too. lol for writing down the script) And oh god. Lithia/and Kunzite's ending. ;_; I felt really kind of bad for Hisui; he grew kind of close to Kunzite, I could tell they were acting like BFFS near the end. In the manly sort of way. And of course, Lithia... I loved how it was subtle but there, and how Hisui was like GOD WE WENT THROUGH ALL THIS EFFORT TO CREATE A PEACEFUL WORLD, YOU CAN'T JUST GO DIE NOW. His idea was sad, but good... ahh. I also really liked how the retold the fairy tale in the end in a positive light, and the fact that all the Spiria in Gardenia would finally be returning back to where they came from... Let's just hope the Quartz learned their lesson after all this time :/ Spiria=/=food OR weapons. Get it right, rock people. And finally... Okay, I admit, I thought Shing Kohaku was really cute, and one of those main canon couples that actually did NOT irk me! Wao! good good
...So yeah. Despite the piles of cheese it was really rather good. :D Have I written enough yet?
So yesterday was my final soccer game. It was really kind of amazing because the first half we were losing 3-0... Then suddenly in the second half we bounced back, winning 5-3. Oh yes. We also got like certificates and stuff for all our time here, and apparently I scored the first goal ever for the team... Crazy. I've been with that team since it was created at my elementary school. And now it's over ;_; time flies. ...And for some odd reason that reminded me of before my grandma died; she was suffering dementia so of course she was forgetting a whole lot, but the one thing she always remembered was me... Agh, okay. I'm rambling.
OH, and I finally started playing Sims 3 8Db It's so incredibly addicting and just... ajwgjalejgagg. The first thing I did myself was make the Hearts crew and they're so incredibly in character it's amazing. I started the Vesperia crew, and they're even more scarily in character--Flynn and Yuri are getting along dandily. Raven is always striking up conversations with Judith. Karol and Estelle are always playing tag or some sort of game. And Rita is.. Rita. What can I say? Building crap is a lot of fun too. So is buying now that I can put stuff at 45 degree angels 8D hehe
I need to get off RP-hiatus at luceti and then app Shing. I really wanna do it like really bad
Tomorrow I've got prom. I kind of should go to school at least for A block tomorrow but urgh... I have no energy... I don't really feel like doing anything I still need to hem my dress a little. We'll see.
