(no subject)
welp, amie and i have been in montreal for 3 days now, and it's a great city (at least for the summer). seems like everyone has given up work to enjoy the 85 degree weather. while old montreal is all cute and stuff, where it's really at is around the universities where there seems to be a street festival every night . . . it's just different how everyone of all ages comes out to play, a weird sense of community. plus it's nice to be able to walk around any time of night without worrying about crime. i bet these montrealers take it all for granted, though.
tomorrow we're headed to vermont to go to a maple syrup and cheese factory, and also what amie is looking forward to, the ben and jerry's factory!!
and lastly, off to maine to go backpacking in acadia for three days. that's really what im psyched about - whales, puffins, lobsters . . . fun fun! ugh, and then back to houston. phooey.
