well, i graduated on saturday, a rather tedious ordeal, really. i had to see people i didnt really want to see again and was forced to do the thing i hate the most on this earth, MINGLE AND FEIGN INTEREST IN MEANINGLESS CHIT-CHAT. guh - i think i might enjoy a swift kick in the crotch more. once the actual ceremony got started, though, it wasnt too bad - i finally got to learn the names of a bunch of people who i never knew the names of; people who have said hi to me by name and ive sort of been like, "uh . . . " and so it was that they pinned the sunflower to my lapel, and my law school experience ended with a whimper instead of the flurry of flying fists i had envisioned. it was cool that my family and amie came, though. afterwards we went to that oh-so fancy restaurant IRONWORKS BBQ where we ordered brisket by the pound, watched turtles terrorize each other in the creek, and witnessed birds fight each other for left-over refried beans. haha! good times . . . i was glad that it didnt explode into some fancy-pants affair.
. . . and then they gave me one whole day to relax before bar review classes start. but i figure after 7 years of higher education, what's another 6 weeks.
