Okay, I started reading this and I was very confused. It didn't gel with the end of the last chapter, yeah? But I keep reading, and it gets more and more delightful as it goes along, and then BAM! it was a dream. And I'm seriously finding how much he really enjoyed that dream almost more titillating. Yet sad because he's alone. :'(

Also: any scene where Gabe gets to display his utter and total badassery, like he does numerous times in this chapter, automatically gets a gold star, regardless of context (my mind keeps pulling back to the escape a few chapters ago, the guy pulled a freakin' shuttle into space...). It makes me laugh whenever some poor idiot reiterates just how strong and old he is--but goes along with the original plan anyway--and Gabe tears off a few asses and hands them back to their owners. <3

I'm going to be sad when this fic ends.

Poor lonely Gabe... I'm actually looking forward to lonely!Gabe this coming Monday - he's so pretty when he's sad <3

Ch15 is gonna see the valiant return of shuttle!Gabe too =D They certainly were't thinking their escape was gonna be *that* easy, were they?

"The word “Complete” at the end of your synopsis hurts my heart." Ughh it hurts me too... fortunately I'm 6 pages into the new story so it dulls the sting a little. But not completely. Finishing a story like AFDF is like going through a breakup after an 8 month relationship...

"*Re-reads opening dream sequence far more than is necessary to my comprehension. And then one more time.*" You just wait til you get to NEXT chapter =D

"Those eyebrows don’t lie!" Although they could if they wanted to and I'd still love them...

"At least I trust those two crazy kids will wind up happily ever after . . . yes?" OH YEAH. Don't you know it!!! The epilogue might explore a more domestic side of them even =D A sort of "let's peek in on the happy couple in a year or so and see how're they're doing" sort of thing =D

Gosh... after writing a happy ending it's hard to conjure enough angst to begin another story...
