Hoi polloi

I'm going to Ireland in less than a month!

It's my first time off the continent, so I'm giddy. I don't think I've seriously been out of the country since my freshman year of high school, when my band class went on a trip to Toronto for a week.

In other news, one of my coworkers keeps asking me when I'm going to head back to school, and that 10 year high school reunion keeps creeping up (I think I'm in the midst of year 8 now, gak), so I'm thinking I really should get my act in gear to consider spring sem at UW-Madison. This scares me a bit, since I'm now getting used to having (slightly) more of an income.

The weather's changing to fall here, and god help me, I'm actually sort of enjoying it. (I'm infinitely a summer person.) I may even like Christmas, if this keeps up. Although I was in Kohl's yesterday, saw them setting up an x-mas tree, and nearly bolted for the doors. Working in retail for multiple years has sorely tried my patience with that holiday. Mall holiday Muzak is pretty much the antithesis of anything holy.

If I don't post for another three years, it's probably because I've been kidnapped by leprechauns.
