01 - video
[Half a minute before any visual feed kicks in, there's Haruko's voice making curious, tired sounds as she figures out the buttons. Just 'whaaa?' and 'eeeh' and 'ari?' on loop. Using something this small is weird.
Then, the video kicks in to show her, hair messy and spiky at her shoulders, riding coat unzipped with a pretty ordinary shirt on underneath, and staring at the camera far too closely. The scene looks pretty normal- the background light looks like early evening, casting a shadow over the brick wall she's sat against.]
Whooaa, it decided to work! Nice!
[She takes a few snapshots of herself sticking her tongue out and grinning with the peace sign (with what looks like machine grease on her hands) before resuming video mode, gesturing as she talks.]
Anyone out there? C'mon, kids. Got a question for guys out there with a, uh, an eye for mechanics. ... Anybody seen my ride about? So tall, a sticker with a 'P!' on it, lemon yellow...
[The background behind her seems to fall sideways- it's just her, having hit the ground and still holding the communicator. Haruko looks unfazed, just suddenly drained.]
Or like... corn yellow... sunshine state yellow, or marigold... Can't have left it parked illegally or anything, right?
