And in other news...
Visted another dojo Tuesday night. It was mad crowded and the sensei just demonstrated a technique and had everyone go at it for awhile, while people were practicing he didn't help specific people or anything. Lame. I found another school that has potential, I'll check it out as soon as DC stops shutting everything down for the damn snow. :P Although I will concede, walking through that much slush in my good suitpants did suck.
I succumbed and finally went into the Pentagon City Borders. Oh wow. They have So many graphic novels! All these really cool smaller character ones like Adam Strange and Blue Beetle, more Batman/JLA/JSA/Nightwing/Teen Titans TPBs and GNs than I've ever seen in one place before. Of course, they didn't have the JLA and Nightwing TPBs I want (lots of Waid, no Morrison), but that's just as well since I shouldn't be buying comics. I was still floored, every store I've been to before has Mobbed Up but no other Nightwings. They had the last Batgirl TPB, hadn't seen that before. Had most of the major Batman arcs and GNs, including Arkham Asylum. Hm, although it just occurred to me, I don't remember seeing any Robins. Boo. They had a Danger Girl I didn't know existed, they had a bunch of The Authority and Way more indy TPBs than anywhere else I've seen. It was a beautiful thing. They didn't have The Killing Joke though, why does nobody have this? Apparently Morrison wrote for Wildstorm at some point, I must track this down. I want that man's babies.
I did buy one thing - Atlas of Anatomy. As my med peoples know, I've been trying sporadically to find detailed muscle diagrams online and mostly failing. I like looking up what I hurt in MA. :D So finally I bought this book, it was cheap and has all the systems in the body along with the muscles, which is nice since I'm self-doctoring so much. I dig it.
