Опубликована моя (в соавторстве с Катарин Раска) заметка о норвежком фестивале:

На норвежском, на русском увы нет , поскольку писалась на английском:

Munnharpe and Langeleik festival 2010

By Katariin Raska (Estonia) and Vladimir Markov (Russia)

The Norwegian munnharpe festival is probably one of the biggest jew’s harp event in the whole of Europe. Every year it takes place in a different town in Norway and this year we all found ourselves playing music together in Fagernes in Valdres. It is important to mention that this is the very first time the festival was combined together with any other instrument.

For both of us it was the first time to take part in that festival and also to see these two instruments played together. The sound of the music played by jew’s harp and langeleik together is very fascinating. It seems that these instruments are created for each other. So impressive is the music played together.

Neither in Estonia nor Russia is the jew’s harp tradition so strong and its playing in a traditional way is not as widespread as it is in Norway today. Therefore for us it was very interesting and important to hear and meet the great Norwegian players. Many appearances in different concerts showed us plenty of facets of Norwegian traditional music and introduced langeleik to us which was for both of us quite unknown.

Of course the festival had the warmest atmosphere and amazing cultural environment. There were so many interesting munnharpas at the exhibition, lectures and lots of great people at the festival. It was so great to meet so many other players and fanatics in this field. We find it necessary and important to meet after a while and increase the common repertoire among the Jew’s harpers.

The master classes where we worked were very well organised with different tunes and playing techniques. For us as foreigners it was good way to discover the Norwegian playing style and tips on using the instrument.

The atmosphere changed something inside everyone’s heart for good and gave inspiration to us for a long, long time.
Thanks a lot to the organisers and all the participants for that great time in Fagernes!
