I was going to do a really deep post on subjectivity. I even started writing it. But then I realized I had something more pressing to discuss. CHOCOLATE

Thus giving me fuel for the fire - a future blog post on the relationship between writers and sweet stuff. Although seriously, I expect someone will steal the idea before I get a chance to write it!
I am been tea-crazed since I was a little kid. I used to have the entire collection of Twinings' Teas in their tins (including a nearly impossible to get gold tin - well, not real gold, heh.)
I am now into fair trade & organic teas. I do have my favs - jasmine, gunpowder and lapsang souchong. Although a good darjeeling, iced, on a hot summer day is nice!
I love tea with a passion. My mom's a Brit, so was raised on it, and I have to admit I'm a bit of a purist. I only like god English Breakfast (HATE HATE Earl Grey) and a good green tea in the afternoons :p
you make my book and me complete...rjndaviesApril 18 2010, 16:03:40 UTC
Brilliant! I could not agree more.
And I could ALSO not agree more about the exercise part. Thankfully, someone is brave enough to say it! I do some of my best thinking on the elliptical--when I'm WRITING, I need that time to let my brain work things out. Something about the rhythmic motion, I don't know. And then when I'm revising, I need the break to STAY SANE. Although in this draft, I'm doing a lot of RE-writing, so...yeah, the elliptical is my friend. And chocolate.

EXACTLY. I need be physically moving in order to process plot. Something about that movement is crucial. And then yes, when I can no longer exercise and work, I need to exercise to retain what little sanity I have left!!
A girl after my own heart...I too like to work out the stories during my morning dog walk...and I have also found that dark chocolate and green tea are the proper fuel for butt-in-chair writing time.
