Back state-side! I am tired, but less jet-lagged in this direction. I think that makes me backwards, since everyone warned me about the Terrors Of Jetlag in the return flight.
London was glorious, the weather was wonderful, and I took a million terrible photos (no photographer, me). When I'm more recovered and organized and downloaded, I'll give you a Flickr link. In the meanwhile, it is sleep and picking up the mail and doing laundry.
Many thanks to everyone for their kind suggestions - I had 2 guidebooks and a map to help my journey along, and walked all over creation. The Tube was extraordinarily easy to use, as were the buses. Also, London isn't hilly, so walking was a snap.
What was the most unexpected for me was the lack of interest in purchasing things. This was totally Vacation On A Budget, so I knew I couldn't spend much... and as it turned out, not much was really calling out to me. Whew! I picked up a few things for a few people, and one souvenir for myself, but that's all. Which means that I came in under budget, and spent my money on food and theatre. Perfect!
