Hey! Listen! /brick'd

Seriously considering this baby as a replacement for my poor, dead little iPod. D': [Expect to see a 365 day on it if you follow my Flickr]
Also, is it weird I feel bad looking at other iPods so soon? It's like going to the funeral of my husband and checking out the pallbearers or something.

But, really! It's got a built-in voice recorder if I decide to switch to French next semester, so I wouldn't have to fool around with the faulty plug-in one, there's a built-in radio-- which strikes me as unbearably awesome, because sometimes I actually do listen to the radio, a neat-o pedometer thingy that might motivate me to walk a little more, and... it takes video. Not high-quality video, but it's nice to have the function all the same, just in case, you know? I don't have anything that takes video, and I could see myself putting together stupid little shorts for fun.

And I kind of love the insane orange color, hehe

I started looking because I do kind of want to replace my poor, dead little iPod fairly quickly. Not having a source of portable music is going to grate on my nerves quickly, I can tell.
For what it's offering, the price is pretty good, I think. I know I don't want any of the Touch series, because I'm paranoid about touch screens, and I can't really use the app function much... and this one gets a lot of good reviews.

I got $100 for Christmas, and Amazon's listing it as $134, so that still leaves me with some money out of my monthly cash bucket, if I take it out in advance from February... and, really, what the hell do I buy in February? Jack shit.
My thoughts are that I'm going to keep in mind that it's $134 online, and that's with shipping and whatnot, and then compare prices at Wal-Mart, which I should hopefully be going to tomorrow.

So? Any thoughts? Does anyone have this model? Any other recommendations? Warnings? Any input at all?

heheh, ipod, halp!, money
