This looks cool. Anyone heard anything about it?
I've had a pretty good week.
The day spent with The Ex went suspiciously well. But his friend took back his bootlegged copy of The Hangover, so I was trapped for four hours in his arms watching a Steve Vai concert DVD. [Steve Vai = awesome, but very likely an alien] The Ex concentrates on music like I do art, so when we were watching the DVD, my interest was all over the place. It really seemed like music for musicians, and I'm anything but. But it was still cool, but, anyway. GLAD the whole ordeal is over with. No interest in repetition, but I'm glad he kept mostly to himself. [The constant hugginess was not cool, though. D: I felt very unclean.]
I went to the dentist's today, for a standard cleaning. Mah teeth are "perfect," and no bad news. I remember why I hate fluoride, but, anyway, happy that's over, too.
The big news is I'm going on a major shopping trip tomorrow, and on my list are a bunch of books I want to look for.
- Star Wars Commando: Order 66, by Karen Traviss-- I think I don't have this one. I'm fairly sure I don't, which makes this something to be immediately corrected. That series = Kandosii! <3
- Legacy of the Force: Sacrifice-- I need this to fill in a gap in my Legacy of the Force collection, before I can move onward from there.
- anything in the Legacy of the Force series past Inferno-- that's the last of those books I've bought, and I want to complete the series... but I probably won't do that much all in one day. But I will blow a ton of money buying as many of these books as I can.
- the .hack AI Buster novel? maybe novels-- I'm sort of desperate for any new .hack stuff, and I figure it might be worth it to at least try one of these. For lulz.
- any of the Japanese Comickers! art book series-- that I haven't seen displayed there before. They are GORGEOUS.
- Zombie Survival Guide-- I need my own copy, but this is sort of tertiary to all of the other stuff I want
But, yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to that tomorrow.
Also. For any Star Wars fans perhaps lurking or reading or browsing:
I'm going to try and teach myself Mandalorian. [Mando'a, as it's called.]
I don't know why. It has, like, zero application in real life, and I doubt I'll ever find anyone with which to exercise it... I could make that my criteria for boyfriends in college. "You must be THIS high and know THIS much Mando'a, vaar'ika! K'atini!"
I'm determined not to be ashamed. >/ Star Trek nerdlings learn Klingon, right? According to Fox Trot And, like, Mandalorians are... are epic! Just as epic as Klingons. I think I would almost rather be Mando'ade than a Force sensitive, to be perfectly honest.
BUT.
ENOUGH OF MY GEEKDOM. I HAS LIFE, REALLY.
I think. I might try and replace my "Make Believe" CD. [Weezer. It, along with "Demon Days" by the Gorillaz were two of the first CD's I bought all by myself.] I lost my original copy somewhere in California when I was but a kid, and I find myself missing it more and more as I grow older.
But the last time I went to Wal-Mart, they didn't even have a section for Weezer. I was like "kthnxBAI you cyrus hoarz"
I need a Star Wars icon. DX
FRRRRRICK.
But, in any case, I hope the F-list is doin' okay. :D My summer is going well, and I hope yours is too!
