Appearance:

Pooh is about 22 inches tall and on the pudgy side. Being a teddy bear he’s filled with stuffing, especially in his stomach which makes him nice and cuddly to hug. His brain also happens to be made of a piece of fluff which gives an explanation to his well, lack of intelligence. He’s covered from head to toe in the softest yellow brown fur.
He can grab onto things surprisingly well despite the lack of fingers on his round featureless paws. Like the rest of his body, Pooh’s paws are also covered in soft golden brown fur but they’re sometimes sticky from eating honey so much. Why a stuffed toy even gets hungry in the first place or how even digests food is an eternal mystery.
Pooh has a round face with a short round muzzle. In the very middle is a big black nose shaped like a round triangle that feels like a soft felt when touched. He has two small friendly black eyes and a pair of thin eyebrows. His face normally gives off a friendly expression. On the top of his head are two tiny circular ears.
For Pooh's steampunk clothing, he wears a red newsboy cap and a matching red vest with bronze buttons. Due to his tubbiness, Pooh can’t close his vest, so it always stays open. Attached to his hat, is a bronze pin in the form of a mechanical honeybee with visible gears in its thorax that are partially covered by its wings. It makes a buzzing sound when you wind the head up. Its eyes are made of polished red stones. The pin doesn’t serve any purpose though, Pooh just likes honeybees.

Personality:

Living his entire life in the sheltered world of his storybook, Pooh never experienced the harsh realities of the real world. As such, concepts such as greed, lust and vengeful hate are completely unfamiliar to the bear’s heart and holds an innocent and optimistic view of the world where everyone has some good inside their hearts and regardless of how bad things they may be, they‘ll somehow eventually pick up.
Pooh isn’t very smart. Conversations with people who use big words, confuse Pooh. He’d rather use short simple phrases such as “let’s have lunch.” Reading and writing also prove difficult for him. Not only does he misspell words, he sometimes writes his letters upside down or backwards, and he often needs someone to read things for him. Pooh is absentminded and has difficulty thinking as well. He is often forgetting things and often forgets that he forgot or lost something in the first place. It takes all of Pooh’s concentration to think and can sometimes take hours for him to formulate a thought. He even set a special area in front of his house called his “thoughtful spot” for him to focus on thinking. Even when he does come up with any sort of idea, once he says it out loud, his thought will fizzle out of his mind in a second.
Throw in some honey and Pooh will become completely distracted, completely focused on eating. Eating honey is one of Pooh’s favorite things to the point that he exercises every morning just for the sole purpose to keep up his appetite. When hungry, Pooh will lose all interest in anything else and will even whine until his belly is full which can often take a long time since he’s a bottomless pit.
But in every fool, there is a wise man. Even though Pooh isn’t a very book smart person, he can sometimes say very wise even philosophical words at the most random of occasions. No one knows how Pooh does it, heck even Pooh doesn’t know.
He’s never had a need for fancy or expensive things to be happy. For Pooh, things such as jumping into a pile of autumn leaves or setting by a warm fireplace and drinking some hot chocolate with some honey mixed in, of course with his friends is enough to make him happy. They may seem simple and insignificant to some but for Pooh, these sort of moments are precious to him.
But what’s even more valuable to Pooh is his friends. For Pooh, friends are the one thing no one should be without. Regardless of how flaky he may be, Pooh is loyal to his buddies and would do just about anything to make them happy. He would even give up his last jar of his beloved honey for their sake.
And Pooh is always willing to make new friends. It doesn’t matter how big or small one may be, how scary you look, or how mean you may act, Pooh will be nice to you. He might be slightly intimidated at first, but Pooh won’t hesitate in taking your hand and inviting you for lunch.
In Pooh’s eyes, no one should go without having someone care about them and everyone and everyone deserves to be treated with kindness.
Pooh becomes very attached to his friends to the point that he’ll try everything to stall saying goodbye to them. If he could, Pooh would stay by his friends’ side forever and ever. But even if the time to separate comes, Pooh will keep you and the memories you shared deep in his heart and he’ll always patiently wait for your return.

Backstory:

Who created the 100 Acre Woods and how they did it will probably forever remain a mystery. The most common story that it was born out of the innocent mind of a little boy and his father. No one really knows though. Any memories that the residents of the woods may of possibly had of this child faded away from their minds with the passage of time, if they ever existed at all.
But nestled within a storybook rested the enchanted forest, free from the horrors that the Heartless brought to the other worlds and providing a sanctuary to child-like innocence. Here, lived a group of sentient stuffed animals. One was a bear of very little brain called Winnie The Pooh.
Pooh’s life was a wonderfully peaceful one. Some days he spent his time on coming up new tunes while he visited his many friends. Others he spent going on little adventures with them, like going on expeditions to the North Pole Really, it was just the most northern point of the forest or going on jagular hunts. Pooh and others had no clue that the Heartless would soon turn their lives upside down .

One day, Pooh decided to take a nice long nap. When he awoke, he would be in for a shock. Did his favorite honey tree move away while he slept? That was odd. Pooh didn’t even know trees could even move. But no matter, if he needed honey, he could just borrow some from one of his friends until the tree returned. Wait, where did his friends go? Where did most of the forest go? Pooh was stumped. Did all of his friends leave somewhere while he was asleep?
Pooh decided to look for them. So he looked.

And looked.

And looked some more.

Exhausted and hungry, Pooh found himself at a meadow where he finally decided to give up looking. The lonely little bear plopped himself down on a log and began to think to himself.

What Pooh didn’t know was that the Heartless had tried to enter into his world. While they were ultimately unsuccessful, the monsters had ripped out some pages from the storybook and scattering them throughout the worlds, leaving each of his friends stranded in their particular page. Cid ended up finding the book and had Sora deliver it to Merlin’s home. Merlin explained to Sora about the 100 Acre Woods.

While Pooh remained deep in thought, a friendly human boy with spiky hair named Sora approached Pooh and asked him what he was doing. Pooh explained to him that he was trying to figure out how he should properly say goodbye to himself before telling him his sad tale before going off to search for honey, unaware that between each meeting with him, Sora was recovering the pages of his book.

While he wandered, he suddenly found himself at his favorite honey tree. Hooray, his tree came back! But that wasn’t all. Near Sora was Pooh’s very best friend, Piglet. The frightened Piglet explained to Pooh that he was looking for him in order to give him a balloon so Pooh could get some honey from the tree but became lost on the way back. Pooh thanked Piglet and explained to both him and Sora that he was going to use to the balloon to fly up to the beehive on top of the tree in order to get the honey inside. So Pooh put his plan into action. With Sora’s help, Pooh was able to pass the bees and successfully gobble up some honey.

But it did not fully alleviate Pooh’s appetite. So he, Sora and Piglet headed to the newly reappeared home of Rabbit where Pooh decided to invite himself to lunch. There, Pooh ended up eating poor Rabbit out of house and home in honey. Once finished, Pooh thanked Rabbit and took his leave….or at least he tried to. Pooh ate so much honey that he ended up getting stuck in Rabbit’s front door.
The little group brainstormed together to see how they would get Pooh unstuck.

Rabbit then got an idea. They could get some carrots from his garden and make a juice for Pooh to make him thinner. But just then, Tigger made his way into Rabbit’s garden and started wreaking havoc with his bouncing. Rabbit tried to shoo him out but Tigger told him that his bouncing spot was missing and the garden was the only area in the woods left for him to practice his bouncing.
Exasperated, Rabbit begged Sora to protect his carrots so he could make the juice. With his key blade, Sora was able to protect the carrots and Rabbit made the juice. After giving the carrot juice to Pooh, the entire group got together and tried to pull Pooh out, which they did…
and accidentally sent him flying into a honey jar. Not that Pooh minded.

After that little adventure, Pooh and Piglet decided to go play a game of Pooh sticks. Their game would be interrupted when they saw someone floating downstream.

Aaaaaah! Dead body! There’s a dead body in the river! What is a dead body doing here?! Oh wait, it’s just Eeyore.

Along with Sora, Pooh and Piglet managed to rescue Eeyore and bring him to dry land. Eeyore thanked them but told them that his tail was missing. So Pooh, Piglet and Sora went off to search for it. They would find that it was in the possession of Owl who was currently flying in the air. Acting quickly, Pooh climbed on a nearby swing and Sora launched him into the sky. In midair, Pooh grabbed Eeyore’s tail just as Owl opened his wings. Successful, Pooh returned the tail to Eeyore who was thankful…at least, Pooh thinks so. It’s kind of hard to tell with Eeyore.
After everyone was reunited, Pooh and others went to the swamp know as “the muddy area” but they all soon became separated again. Pooh looked and looked until he found a set of footprints. Afraid that someone had come along and kidnapped them, Pooh followed the footprints, not realizing they were actually his, until he began walking in circles.
Sora found Pooh and once again helped him in rounding up his friends once again.
Pooh didn’t know how he could even begin in thanking his new friend, Sora for all the he gave him. During the entire he spent with him, Pooh became incredibly attached to him.

That night Pooh, Sora and all the others sat at Starry Hill. Pooh was in the middle of a deep thought but when Sora asked him what he was thinking about, Pooh couldn’t remember.
With that, Sora decided to take his leave. As Sora left, Pooh called out to him, reminding his that he and the others would always be waiting for him, if he ever wanted to return.
Time passed and life returned to normal in the 100 Acre Woods. Even so, Pooh never forgot about Sora and waited for the day he returned.

That day would come roughly a year later.

Pooh was sitting at his thoughtful spot when Sora randomly appeared. The two exchanged pleasantries and Pooh invited Sora to join him in his stoutness exercises. Sora happily accepted.
But when Pooh jumped off the log he was sitting on, he suddenly stopped in midair as if time had just frozen.
Everything went dark…and a strange force….it flung Sora out…of the book…and…and….

Pooh was sitting at his thoughtful spot when a spiky haired boy approached him. The boy told Pooh he was happy to see him. Pooh replied that he was also happy to see the boy even though he didn’t know who he was.
The boy seemed concerned. He told Pooh that he was his friend, Sora before asking Pooh if he knew who he was but Pooh didn’t. The boy then asked how Piglet was.
“Piglet?” Who was this “Piglet” person this boy was talking about? Come to think of it, who was this kid and how did he know Pooh’s name? The bear had no clue and at the moment was too distracted to think about it. Pooh asked the boy if he would come back after he finished his stoutness exercises. Distraught, the spiky haired boy left.
In the outside world, the heartless had managed to grab hold of Pooh’s story book and tear some pages out of it. After Sora, Donald, and Goofy saved it, Merlin revealed to them that the pages had held Pooh’s memories and until they were returned, Pooh would continue to have amnesia.

While Sora searched for the missing pages, Pooh had finished his exercises when he decided to go for a walk. As he treaded farther and farther into the woods, the wind began to blow harder. That was when he crossed paths with a strange rodent with a lisp. The rodent warned Pooh to be careful because of the violent winds being blown on account of today being Windsday.
Pooh then decided to go wish everyone a happy Windsday but when he realized he didn’t even know who “everyone” was, Pooh plopped himself down to try to remember. His thoughts would only be broken when the woods echoed with frightened screams of help. Pooh looked up and saw what appeared to be a small pig being carried away by the winds.
Pooh went after him and eventually found the pig stuck in a tree, crying for help. Luckily Sora came in the nick of time to help get him down. The little pig was relieved to see them both but Pooh couldn’t remember who either of them were. The pig told Pooh that he was his friend, Piglet and begged him to remember but Pooh couldn’t. Sadden, Piglet began to leave when he was swept by another blustery wind. The wind carried Piglet to the top of a tree.

Sora told the frightened Piglet to jump into his arms. Piglet did so but instead of falling into Sora’s arms, he landed into Pooh’s instead. The two plopped to the ground. The impact must of caused something to Pooh’s brain because when he stood up, he remembered who Piglet was once again. Unfortunately for Sora, Pooh still couldn’t remember who he was.

Pooh became hungry and decided to look for some food. In the process, he accidentally destroyed Eeyore’s house that he had set up near Rabbit’s property. But instead of apologizing, Pooh simply bid the donkey hello, unaware who he was before going off to find some honey. Piglet suggested to that perhaps Pooh ‘s memory loss was caused by hunger. Upon hearing this, Eeyore led them to a stack of honey jars and Pooh sat down to eat.

Rabbit then arrived and asked why Pooh was devouring all his honey. Pooh simply greeted Rabbit, unaware of who he was and continued eating. Sora apologized and explained the situation. Begrudenly, Rabbit gave up the rest of his honey in hopes that it would help jog Pooh’s memory.
So Pooh ate some.

And then some more.

And even more.

And yet, some more.

But even after he polished off every single drop of honey in Rabbit’s ownership, Pooh still couldn’t remember. It was devastating.
Pooh just continued looking for more honey before getting stuck in Rabbit‘s front door…once again.

Rabbit became concerned and began rambling of any other possible suggestions on what may be causing his amnesia was the result of him dreaming and sleepwalking.

“Well, if this is a dream than I certainly hope it gets to the part you invite me to lunch, Rabbit.”

Everyone was stunned. Pooh remembered who Rabbit was. Not soon afterwards, Pooh greeted Eeyore by name. Everyone was ecstatic but the joy would be short-live. Pooh still couldn’t remember Sora.

Much later, Pooh met up with Sora again, this time in front of Kanga’s house. Pooh had no memory of Kanga, her son Roo or Tigger. Kanga thought that perhaps some medicine that gave Roo on a frequent basis would help cure Pooh’s amnesia but when came back from her house with it, Tigger just snatched it, telling her that all Pooh needed was a few good bounces. So Tigger, Roo, Sora and Pooh bounced around the place. After a few good bounces, Pooh remembered who Kanga and Roo were but not Tigger. Kanga finally administer the medicine to Pooh and he suddenly remembered Tigger again as well but once again, failed to remember Sora.

That night, Pooh had a dream about a friend of his. He couldn’t remember this friend’s name but he knew he had made some sort of promise to this person, so the next morning Pooh set off to look for him. Pooh diligently looked for his missing friend, until he wound up in the maze-like Spooky Cave. There Pooh continued searching until he finally sat down and began to think of his missing friend.

Sora and all of Pooh’s friends found him. Pooh explained to them about his missing friend. Kanga asked Pooh if Sora was possibly this missing friend but Pooh only became worried that his mysterious friend may have been attacked by a jagular when he heard a growling sound. Sora told Pooh that it was just his stomach and offered to get him some honey.

“I’d like that, Sora!”

“Pooh- you finally remembered!”

“Remembered what, Sora?”

Sora and the others just happily led Pooh back home.

That night Pooh, went out to eat a jar of honey at Starry Hill, only for his head to get stuck in the jar. He called for help which were heard by Sora who helped free his head. After helping Pooh, Sora asked the bear what he was doing in the area in the first place.

Pooh had told Sora that he had been trying to think of some sort of way so Sora wouldn’t leave him once more. Sora promised him that as long as Pooh keeps him close to his heart, that he would always be able to see him no matter how far apart they were. Pooh and the other members of the woods promised that they would keep Sora in their hearts as well and that he was welcome to come back anytime he wanted.

With that Pooh and the others bid Sora a fond farewell. With Sora’s departure, the storybook was fully repaired and Pooh once again waited patiently for the day his special friend would return once again.

The Calling:

Pooh was simply in the middle of his morning exercises when a nice looking clown fellow approached him. Pooh invited the clown to join him which he accepted.
After the workout was out of the way, the clown told Pooh he had something very important to discuss. Pooh, who was very hungry asked if they could talk over breakfast. So Pooh invited the guy for a smackeral of honey.
Over the meal, the man introduce himself as Kefka and began to talk about Zenithia and its mission. Now some of the words Kefka used were too big for Pooh to understand but the parts he did get sounded interesting. When he was finished, Kefka asked the bear if he would like to come to the school but Pooh politely rejected his offer.
Not willing to take no for an answer, Kefka told Pooh the wonderful new friends he would be making along with all the foods he would get to try. And he might of bribed him with a honey pot or three. That got Pooh’s attention.
So after Pooh packed up and said goodbye to all his friends, he and Kefka went on their merry way to the school.

Anything Else?:

- He's bringing his toy rifle from book/animated shorts canon even if it's virtually useless.

- He sometimes talk to the reflection of his mirror as if it were a separate entity. Why? Who know?

- He‘s illiterate. His reading and writing comprehension are no better than a small child's and has no typing skills either but it will improve with time.

- I have not played the Kingdom Hearts series outside of Chain of Memories so I may of missed some details. If there is anything important I left out of his backstory, please tell me and I’ll rewrite it in.
