The first of two sitcomathon stories--because when I stress out I write too much instead of too little. ;) Written for the lovely and talented mandysbitch, who requested Hawkeye/Trapper and the prompt "You ask what I remember?"

This story was absolutely beautiful. I am not normally a reader of M*A*S*H slash, but I took a chance when I saw this, and I am so glad I did. It brought tears to my eyes because of--hell, I'm not sure why, but it did. It might have been your Hawkeye. It might have been the happy sadness, or the sad happiness, or just everything all rolled together. It was amazing.

God, that was beautiful, and the thought of Hawkeye still stirring shit after all these years makes me smile. When I'm not getting all teary-eyed, that is.

Thank you very much! (Hawkeye, I think, will stop stirring up shit right around when his heart stops beating. . .)

I was a big fan of M*A*S*H when I was a kid, but I started watching after the Trapper years so I never really knew him except for a rerun here or there. I admit I haven't even thought about M*A*S*H all that much since it ended, either. But this story was recommended twice in quick succession on my friendslist and so I clicked over to read.

Your Hawkeye voice is spot-on, and you made me cry, damn you.

Thank you.
