I'm going to do this now even though the yuletide assignments aren't out yet (I don't think signups have closed yet, actually), because I'm afraid I'll forget to in all the fuss and excitement leading up to Election Day (and possibly the lengthy hangover afterward) --
Dear whoever gets my Yuletide prompts: As our lovely organizers have said about six hundred times, the story prompts (including pairings) are just suggestions. All I really want is for you to write something that you enjoy writing, so I hope you find something in my prompts that suggests such a story. Thanks in advance for being part of the big adventure.
