Heat and Augereys

Lucia, the Augerey Godric gave me during the school year has adapted pretty well to living with me. She rarely cries and and instead coos happily when I come into the room. She doesn't seem to prefer the heat though. The summer has been pretty warm and often times she'll resemble a wilting flower, her green feathers somewhat duller.

I was worried at first so I took her to the Magical Menagerie to see if I was doing something wrong. The shopkeeper told me to feed her more insects or fairies and make sure the house if a bit cooler then she should revive quite nicely. I followed his advice and within a few days she was back to her old self and Mort seems to be happier as well.

I think Lucia is looking forward to the school year starting again though. I've trained her more to deliver letters and she seems eager to do so. Maybe she made some owl friends as well with all the time she spent in the owlery? An owner can always hope.

What about me? I haven't done much. I did buy a book recently, 'Magical Beasts and How to Tame Them'. It was a good read and even mentioned Augereys! It also mentioned a few other interesting creatures like boarhounds and hippogriffs. I kind of want to meet some now as well as a few other creatures listed in the book.
