good things
1. new awesome roommate secured. andrea will be moving in sunday morning. i'm very relieved to have found someone that i think i will get along well with. plus we have a lot in common.
2. tomorrow amy and i will be going upstate to beacon where there is a contemporary art museum, dia. we're going to make a day of it at the museum and eat lunch and do some shopping. i am super excited for this because it is only my second time going somewhere outside of the city since i moved here. the first time was the summer i moved here when we went to gilgo beach on long island.
3. i'll be going down to texas for judy's graduation from her nursing program in a couple of weeks. it was a bit of a last minute thing and i just bought my ticket last night. looking forward to seeing her and my mom. i always feel like a vegetable trapped in amber when i'm down there which is better than it sounds. oh, also: barbeque and tacos!
4. my dahlias are sprouting very nicely! if i don't kill them they should be blooming in a month or two.
