Feeling much better now, so time to recap my life.

Finishing my animation on time meant it was done in time for the animation festival the 4 main schools in this district hold near the end of the school year. There wasn't much of a turn out (a lot of kids didn't finish their videos in time), but what was there was really good (with the exception of one school, which is lower tier in terms of intelligence *cough*). They even had a speaker! And not just any speaker! I mentioned it in my Project 365 blog, but Paul Jaquays of Microsoft Ensemble Studios was there, and after all the animations he gave a little speech on game development and how he got into the industry. It's only logical that aspiring animators wanna be get into games, right? Naturally when he asked, I raised my hand. I even got to shake his hand, which was really exciting for me. ^^;
However, my teacher has one last assignment for us. We were given 4 options, and I chose to refine and complete my animation. He had a list of custom suggestions for each movie. I planned to finalize some things over the summer anyway, so doing it for a grade is just as good. Assuming I don't run into too many problems with time (most of it is editing, and one animation I already have made), I should finish within the week and post the updated video.

We got our TAKS scores back. I passed on all of them, and got commended on all (history, science, English) but math. I'm okay with that really, I mean, no one cares about math. :P
Art exam is tedious but should be simple enough. Our exam period is Monday, so I have less time than every other class to work on it. Guess I need to stop slacking off in class. Other than animation, every other class is covered for. I'm not worried about Japanese at all. I have a paper due in a couple days in history, too. Not looking forward to that. I really, really hate writing papers. D:

My lovely wife Jess slept over the weekend, and we rented Cloverfield and played some Brawl. I did my laundry and accidentally threw my cell phone in the wash, so it's very much dead. I always figured I'd be smart enough not to do something like that, but I guess all it takes is one spaced out moment to forget. It was almost 3 years old, though, so it's about time for an upgrade. Unfortunately, I don't care for flip or slide phones. I just want my same model. :( I'll probably have to settle for a slightly upgraded model. Here's hoping none of them are incredibly ugly! I hope to acquire my new phone by Thursday. Oh, and I finally got my hair cut and highlighted today, after over 6 months of not having highlights. My hair had gotten so dark. The change is incredible.

When I'm not studying to save the world, I'm watching a variety of shows and spending money on their toys. I just sent HLJ a money order for $62, which'll snag me the SIC Kamen Rider Blade (finally), and the Fight! Ultra Brothers manga. :D Exciting!

Keitai Sousakan 7 has gripped me not unlike Mebius originally did, although the ending of episode one severely damaged my joy. I guess I was really hoping for a sempai/kouhai feeling, but learning things the hard way is good too. I adore Seven, he's just the best thing since sliced bread. During the wait inbetween subs, I've taken to using this show as a link to a handful of other worlds in the crackiest way possible. There are just too many actors/actresses I recognize for me to not attempt to combine all their stories. The awesome part is, it totally works.

Tomica Hero continues to be awesome, for reasons I can't quite understand. The concept still sounds incredibly boring. It must be the characters and shiny CG, because I can't see any other reason I'd stick around. It's like the sequel Ryukendo never had. (Hikaru's hometown? I swear it's Akebono in the future or something. ;-;)

I gave Jbond a hilarious history of Hidenori Tokuyama (detailing his rise to glory as TheBee and his subsequent fall as a star in a boy's love movie) in preparation for his appearance as Go-onGold. Despite my Kabuto-hating bias, I'm excited to see him in Go-onger. I hope Silver is cool too.

Been enjoying Rookies recently, too. I'm not that big on school dramas (Gokusen sums it all up pretty well), but Rookies has enough of a spin on it to make it worth watching... though I'd stick through it anyway for Shunji, like I did with Shigeshoshi. So far the show is more focused on the characters than the game, which was a pleasant surprise (not much of a fan of sports, either).

Shout-out for Ainori, because it's awesome and I love it dearly.

I've also been keeping up with a handful of Let's Play videos over at SomethingAwful. They're really very awesome, I can't believe I lived without them before. The Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 LP has shown me the worst game to ever be released legitimately and sold for money. My Sonic hatred is not without reason, ignorant fandom! *shakes fist*

I hope the rest of the internet is doing well, too.
