(no subject)
Good evening, internets. I've been doing pretty well lately. I have a 105 in chemistry and a 102 in Japanese and other than my art grade I feel confident in my academic studies. I am making friends and grading papers for my English teacher (secretary work, what's not to love?) and laughing and I have nothing to be sad about so I won't be sad. My logic, it is infallible.
I am updating tonight to share my geeky joy. Nintendorks Secret Santa, a tradition in a treasured community of mine. I participated in it last year, and enjoyed every second of it. I joined again this year and regret nothing. It's highly recommended you take pictures to show just how happy you are, so I decided to post them here.

I am now the proud owner of an Ultraman Hikari vinyl and gashapon-finger-thing. Are they amazing or are they amazing?
It has a place of honor in my Mebishrine.
Now that I have Hikari, it's just wrong not to have Mebius. My quest continues, with renewed vigor.
In other but still somewhat related news, I am now 11 episodes into Agito and can't wait to go watch more. Still feel bad for watching it before finishing Kuuga, but the appeal of real subs is too much.
Don't have many complaints, other than I want to punch Houjou in the face, and that perhaps Hikawa should pursue Agito just a bit more. (Though I suppose re-acquiring G3 is required to do that...) Also, uh, the Overlord confused me with his rather ambiguous face as an adult, I was positive he switched genders on me until he spoke. :|
Ugh, Den-O 44 was hardcore. You could cut the tension with a knife, as they say. Seeing the Imagins walk around freely like that makes me so happy. There's only so much you can do in a train's dining car, I'm glad they're allowed to stretch their legs every now and then.
Lots of amazing camera angles in this episode, I noticed a lot of dividers and negative space. (Yuuto and Ryuuta sitting on opposite benches with the pole inbetween them comes to mind, similarly Ryou vs. Momo and the two window panes between them. As for negative space, Ryou in front of the train tracks with the middle-of-time sky was gorgeous, and Momo sulking on the stairs.)
Kai seemed to have realized something or come up with some evil plan at the end, that was kind of a scary scene. Can't wait~
Also, the Den-O Talk Show was so much fun. I am rather fond of Ura's and Ryuu's seiyuus. Seeing the suit actors was a great treat, too. I noticed the vast majority of the audience was female. You sure you have the right target audience, Toei?
Still need to watch Ultraseven X, I just don't have much of a drive to watch things raw. Meh.
Time for some Ainori, then sleep~
