After school, Chelsea, Andria and I went to Braums. We were trying to plan some girl's night thing this weekend but our schedules clashed, so we opted for a girl's afternoon. We walked back to Andria's house and dropped Chelsea off. On the way I learned Andria and her family were going to see Transformers and I said I wanted to go, half-joking since I didn't expect anything to come of it. But Andria's mother totally asked if I really wanted to go, so I took her up on her offer.
We ate at McDonald's first and then went off to the dollar theater, where I saw Transformers for the second time. I was able to follow the action a lot better, just like I thought. Reading sakon76's fics seemed to help, too, as I was able to figure out which 'bot was which on descriptions and characterization. (In all the action I lost track of the 'bots the first time, especially since without a steady shot of them it's hard to find their distinguishing features [the Decepticons suffer the most from this], it ended up just being a mass of shiny figures slaughtering each other.) Found myself empathizing with Bumblebee more this time, I guess he appealed more to me the second time 'round. Opty is so mean and heartless. :( Although I'm not completely sure whether I love or hate Transformers, I enjoyed the movie regardless.
I'm such a bad influence on Andria's little brother. I think he really admires me, since I geek out with him about Opty and Bumblebee. We've also managed to convince him that I live on the moon, and that 'bye' in my language is 'peace' while giving the peace sign. He always asks if I can stay with them. Haha. ♥
