(no subject)
Yet another long gap of no entries, for which I apologize in the only way I know how:
I had to sort through all my previous art projects to bring only the best, as we took digital photos for a portfolio. Blizzard wanted to help me look.
Ever since Ginger's rather sudden increase in courage and socialness, she's taken to wrapping her paw around my arm whenever I hit just the right spot.
*scritch scritch scritch*
Maya finds my tablet to be an excellent pillow.

Chillin' in the afternoon.
Surely this would give one a neck cramp if they slept like this.
CAMERA IN FACE
And, my latest art project - a self-portrait with pointillism and a variety of ink textures.
I got through a good 70% of the face during the last presidential debate.
Taken today, my progress since then.
The not-so-secret: pointillism is made up of tons and tons and tons of dots. The denser they are, the darker the value, etc. Only the skin is to be pointillism - I've yet to decide the other textures.
Real life things that have happened since my last update:
1) PSAT. Took it, finished it, was okay with it. I'm sure I bombed math (I skipped like 7 questions and probably got another 4 or so wrong), and I'm sure my grammar section was merely subpar, but I'm confident on my critical reading. Results in December.
2) Finished reading the Scarlet Letter, and liked it much more than I expected (with the exception of the ending).
3) Am enjoying Bradbury's Dandelion Wine much more than I expected. Running theme?
4) Went ice skating with Ian, Karen, Chelsea, and Mr. Guy-I-Rejected Moises last night. I regret it, and I will not be pressured to accept any similar offers in the future.
Fandom things that have happened since my last update:
1) Bloody Monday decided to sneak up on me and brutally assault my mind with all things awesome. Been thinking about it nonstop since I read the summary a couple weeks ago, and even worse since I saw the premiere. On the edge of my seat for subs, and episode two.
2) Rescue Force decided to kill off arguably the best villain so far. Why does tokusatsu of all franchises refuse to acknowledge and tap into all the potential they give their characters? Why?! And now we have his loli "daughter"? I love you regardless, RF, but really.
3) Kiva made Wataru an otherkin. Way to go! I still hate him but at least the rest of the characters are on my good side! Yes, I don't just like Otoya anymore! I hope Taiga rips Wataru a new one. Inoue, perhaps this the toku that will redeem you?
4) NaNoWriMo is almost upon us, and I've yet to finalize my plot. I'm really worried!
And now, I must resume work on my art project... it's due Monday.
