Owl Delivery for Capella

Oct 29, 2007 00:59

Dear Capella,

I am writing to you at this late hour because I hope it will reach you on your birthday. It seems fitting that you receive a letter from each of your biological parents on this day.

Your mother had a letter delivered to me today as well telling me about a daughter born 17 years ago in Rome. Rome was a place that was very special to both your mother and myself.

She was possibly the strongest, most certain individual I have ever encountered. We met as children in the very house you are in now. She was bright, beautiful, and utterly without fear. Her friendship and affection was one of the sustaining forces in my childhood and a driving force during one of the most difficult periods of my life.

I do not know what she wrote in her letter to you, but please know that you were absolutely conceived in love. It was not a perfect love, or an easy love, but never doubt that it was love.

She said that you were given to a couple who loved you and gave you the best possible life. I know that must be true. I know that she would never have entrusted you to anyone not worthy of our child.

I am grateful to your parents and I would not do anything to disturb your family or your life. But I would like to know you and have you know me.

Should you choose to have a relationship I would be glad to hear from you. If not, I will of course honor your wishes.

Regardless, I have included a package of letters your mother had written to me over the course of our relationship. I thought they would offer you even more insight into her. They are yours to do with as you see fit. I have also included a necklace for your birthday.

With Love,
Your Father,

Draco Malfoy
