I love Marriage by Decree and I enjoyed Wedding Day Surprise even more because Dean asked Sam to marry him by his own choice ( ... )

Thanks so much for the lovely comments. I picked Mary, I thought about Ellen since she was someone both of them had known but the idea of Sam getting a tiny glimpse of his mom that he doesn't remember at all would be better. Glad you liked it :)

You made the perfect choice! Sure Ellen could have told them that nobody judges them and everybody is happy for them, but it meant so much more coming from their mother and that Sam finally got to see his mother he only knew from photos was beautifully heart-warming.

I have a soft spot for domestic Winchesters and I love that Mary was there to witness her children's happiness and give them her and John's blessing :)
