ramblings

I'm watching the sunrise. To be frank, I'm not seeing any sun, just a gradual dissipation from dark gray to light.

I can get the romance of the sunset. The colours. The moving from the inhibitions of day to the freedom of night. Of darkness. Of stars, and a feeling of there being something so much bigger than ourselves.

But dawn is something different. Maybe in a bygone era when there were no buildings to steal the skyline.

I look out the window and it's cold. It's empty and light and you can see the vague forms of clouds and the moon says its last farewell till the evening.

I can't remember the last time I saw a red morning.

Just varying shades of gunmetal that move into ice blue that make the surrounding auto-fit pre-made concrete monstrosities look all the more stark.

I miss my sky-line, but I never did see the romance.
