a good moment

I clicked on my Facebook chat, "Online Friends," button, the list took a second to refresh, but then, "Callum Keith Rennie," came online.

And in that moment, I realized that I could have had a private online chat with THE Callum Keith Rennie of Battlestar Galactica fame, because he, himself, consented to friend me on Facebook.

Of course, I didn't have much to say to him. We only chatted the one time, and he may or may not remember me. But it's still very cool to note that I have access to someone other geeks can only dream of meeting.

Unless they go to conventions, in which case, well, I can talk to famous people outside of conventions...when...they....aren't in the mood to talk.

Okay, fine, it's almost less than nothing, but still, it was a cool moment. And I could have said, "Hey, Callum. How's it going?" But then it might have been awkward, unless I really had something to say that pertained to something in his world. Which I did, because the one thing we spoke the most of was my writing, and I did just finish version 1.2 of a stage play we're doing this Christmas.

Anyways, I don't want to be the guy who Face-stalks celebrities at 12:30 in the morning.
