Part one.

I arrived in The Desert State of Arizona to little fanfare. Who was to welcome me? and how was I to know who'd be welcoming me if they did? hard to say. Anyway I arrived here and looked around my palace. Compared to my homeland, The Forest State of Massachusetts. The Palace was built in a decidedly more desert way...The Walls were built from sandstone bleached white by the everpresent sun, and caked with dust blowing in from the southern wilderness.
I had arrived. Thinking myself alone. My allies millions of miles away, and the only contact with them I had was a kind of telepathy. Using the new mind accelerator drug known as Net. Unfortunately Net is highly addictive, and hard to come off of. So I've been trying to find other ways to bend my mind.
The desert however hot though, is a cold bitch, and the moment you go in to it. trying to find power or money, or drugs, or whatever, she has a way of flushing you out and reminding everyone exactly who's in charge around here, and who is who's bitch in the end.
I had arrived. And I started busying myself with daily rituals. writing, thinking about work, and walking, and drinking a lot of water.
There are rumors of natives in the dunes of sand out on the outskirts. The so called "fremen" ...or wait...that's Arakis...the natives of this particular desert are known only as Lakeytaree. The dregs of California. It is my belief that I can work out a treaty with these Lakeytaree and use them in my army....
We'll see. My manservant Bobo will return soon with information on them and hopefully, they will receive me. ...More tomorrow
