So my fall break has been pretty good. Went to see Paris with my mom yesterday, which was a really sweet movie, and today I hung out with Jen and Ali around Central Park. Everything has been awesome, except for the fact that I'm fucked in terms of my film project.
I was going to do a project that involved me doing all of my shooting here, but both of the fucking batteries are dead, and the power cord doesn't fucking work, so there's no way I can shoot anywhere at all, meaning I need to think of, shoot, and at least partially edit an entire project by Sunday. Which is pretty much impossible, since I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing (I have an idea, but haven't written the damn script yet), I need actors, I won't be able to shoot until Thursday or Friday, and I need actors who are able and willing to learn lines in like, three days. I'm going to email my professor, but she wasn't entirely helpful last time I had trouble, so I don't think I can get an extension on this (unlike last time, where I had time to reshoot, we have crits of our rough cut next Tuesday, so I don't have much time).
I hate shooting. I wish I could just write and edit and be done with it. At least when I go abroad I won't have to worry about actors (we'll all take acting classes and be in eachother's films up until the final project, where they'll help us get real actors), and I'll get a little more guidance than I'm getting in this class.
I hate that this has fucked up my break.
