~It's been a pretty fabulous break so far. Yesterday was the typical affair at my aunt's and uncle's in the Cities. Packers won, though. It was pretty amusing, my dad and grandpa trying to explain football rules to me. Touchdowns and who the quarterback is are pretty much the only facts that stuck...
Today was an amazingly productive day though. Mailed in my writing sample and transcripts to Madison and the U of M, both due December 1st. Got an Express pair of jeans (marked at $50) for $24. Thank you Black Friday! Also got some serious work done on my Statement of Purpose. Oh please, oh please, grad schools, like me. Also grabbed a very late supper with Dana, found The Dark Knight on sale for $4 (seriously!!?) and probably the BEST part of today... I decided to rent a movie at one of those Redbox things, so I'm flipping through, and lo, what do I find but "Every Little Step." It's a documentary following the revival of "A Chorus Line" that I was absolutely OBSESSED with in Japan. I think I must have watched it every day after school for a week. Sometimes two times in a row, me sitting on my comfy little couch. And now it's finally been released in the States. Gets me every time.
Lots more to do this weekend. Keep hammering at my statement. Do more research for my Sociology paper. On Sunday, I'm trekking back up to the Cities, as my Anthro of Law professor decided I needed to do a broader case study, instead of the intensive 3-case-study paper I was planning on. Really hoping lunch with Nikki 'll pull through.
I'm in such a good mood. It's just been a wonderful time, I just feel strangely happy. Probably all the productivity. Either way, go my life!
