Scotland
I expected to like Scotland, it's hard not to. I expected Edinburgh to be dreary and a bit depressing, it kindof is. I did not expect it to be beautiful, it certainly is.
The weather here sucks right now, which is unfortunate because almost everything here worth doing is outdoors. I was planning on spending a day or two in Edinburgh then a day or two in Glasgow and heading back down to Paris. I've decided against that and will just spend the next few days in Edinburgh. I want to see the highlands and I really want to enjoy this country. This means coming back and spending more time and will require renting a car. I like having long term goals like this.
I've always thought the strong Scottish accent was a joke, put on for show. That a few rare people might take it to that extreme and end up sounding like Groundskeeper Willy. However the strong Scottish accent lives on, and I can't help but smile ear to ear when I hear it.
