Over the weekend, I bought a book on codes and ciphers.

Today in tutoring I set the students a test.

Yes, these two facts are related.

Every week, if they haven't progressed any further in cracking the cipher I used, I will solve one more step towards plaintext. If the manage to solve it on their own, I'll work up some sort of prize. Maybe I'll arrange a field trip, or something.

For the curious, here's the ciphered text. Each row of numbers represents one letter. Each paragraph break marks the end of a word. Right aligned for your viewing pleasure.
