Why did your character accept the invitation?: The British National Library sent her to attend in the tournament for reasons she doesn't know. It's a secret mission and she only knows she's suppose to try and win.
Character's occupation: Fighter, but will probably prefer doing something else.
Character's skills/abilities/talents: Can control anything made out of paper, or paper like material. She can make it do anything, be water proof, fire retardant, harder than metal, stick to things. She can even make a building out of paper. Books and paper tends to do things around her as well. If she's in danger they will fly off shelves without her doing anything much about it.
Personality: Yomiko is the classic example of a book worm. She is an extreme introvert and very shy. She's not stupid, yet she is naive. She tries to look at the good, and see the good in everything, even to the point where she will try too hard to find the good in obviously bad people. It takes a lot for her to get upset, but when she does it explodes. Her connection with paper will cause all paper products to erupt and cause a lot of damage.
Strengths: Once she makes her mind on something little will change it. She will defend any book and can read amazingly fast. She's quite smart and loyal to her friends and family. She was trained as an agent and is skilled at using her abilities in combat. Her reflexes are honed and she is the top agent. Weaknesses: She bottles herself in her own little world, and her grasp on things is very fragile. She gets quite lots when faced with real world troubles, and people she was close to becoming bad. She's not physically strong, and is rather gullible.
Third-Person Sample: Yomiko had been called in last minute to Jokers office. It always made her a little nervous, and today was no exception. She tried her best to pay attention, it was very important after all! But, she had to think about her up coming class schedule, she would be the new English teacher for a school next week. Of course she would insist on Sensei's book first thing, everyone should be exposed to it! She could see it now, the students learning the love of her work. Oh, but, she should get a copy in English, so it was relevant to the class....
"-aper. The Paper!" Came the loud of of Joker. "Pay attention. This is very important you listen carefully. You will be starting off alone, your partner will be dispatched later. Do not do anything until you have met up with your partner, understood?"
Yomiko had been caught off guard, but she listened closely and nodded. "Don't do anything until I meet up with my partner," she re iterated.
"Good-"
"Ah... but, who will they be? Will it be Drake san?" She started softly, tentatively, she was a bit nervous. Had he already said? She couldn't remember....
"No, you will be getting a new partner, you will meet them on sight. They will identify themselves to you. I can't tell you who they are now for security reasons. But I have faith in you. You are our top agent, you can do it," Joker gave her an encouraging smile, she almost felt like she was capable of a lot.
"I'll do my best."
On her way out of the office she wondered if this would be a long mission. Pausing right before exiting the door she turned back.
"Um, Joker san, I, you see... I have a job next week and...." she trailed off not sure how to exactly say she needed to be able to go.
"It's been taken care of, you will attend your job the minute your mission is complete."
Yomiko didn't say anything, she just nodded and then hung her head low. So it was like that, no doubt when she returned she would need to find a new job, maybe she could get another job at Sensei's school?

First-Person Sample: Mr. Joker was very clear on my mission, but he also said I would have a partner. I don't know who or where they are though. I hope they show up soon, I really want to be able to finish this, I have a job coming up soon and I really need to be able to go back. Also, Sensei will wonder where I am, and, I can't really tell her that.
