Conrad listened to their conversation. Yozak was good in getting information. It was always fascinating to watch his friend in action.
He heard a quiet knock against the door and stood up. "I´m sorry to interrupt but I think our food is there." He opened the door and asked the servant to come inside.
Not ten minutes later the table was loaded with food and the servant said his goodbye.
"Now, I hope you will find everything to your liking."
Cloud stood up and took his plate, he bent down in a crouch to get the drinks on the bottom, his shirt stretching lightly, a slight bump on his shoulder blade becoming more pronounced briefly until he stood up with a water bottle. "Thank you, Conrad for the invitation and the food."
As he passed by, Yozak noticed the odd movement beneath Cloud's shirt, but he kept it to himself for the moment. He was curious but not enough to disrupt polite dinner conversation. He took a seat in his usual chair, rubbing his hands. "So much food, so little time. But the three of us can put it to good use, eh?" he chuckled.
Conrad was already by the table and missed to make the same observation as Yozak.
"Well, Yozak, you get this here." Conrad pushed the small basket with bread to his friend. "I think Cloud and I will eat the rest." He picked up his napkin and laid it on his lap.
Yozak made a face. "All right, that's enough with the jokes. Where's my steak?" He added a quick roll of his eyes for Cloud's benefit, to assure him that they were just playing around.
Conrad starred at his friend. His smile looked pleasant but his eyes showed not of his displayed fun. "A joke? Well, we will see later if you will laugh." He took a piece of bread and put it on his plate.
Just as he was getting ready to give Conrad a real glare, Cloud came through for him! Yozak laughed. "Ahh, see? Cloud is my new friend! Thank you." He raised an eyebrow at Conrad, hoping that if he didn't rise to the bait, he would get his dinner sooner than later. He knew it had to be somewhere in the room - Conrad ordered it before their bout of teasing even began.
"Ah...I suppose I could," Yozak admitted, craning his neck to see if the kitchen staff even left the cart. "Knowing Conrad, though, he wouldn't make it that easy."
Yozak got up and checked, and sure enough, his plate was under another cover. He retreated back to his chair with a chuckle and his dinner. "Oh, still playing jokes on each other after all these years. You'd think we were new recruits or something." He gave Conrad a quick look of suspicion, but let it go. "Sorry about the antics, Cloud. At least we wouldn't pull anything on a guest, eh?"
Conrad continued his eating. Yozak had found his food after all.
"Don´t be silly Yozak. I didn´t play a joke on you. I didn´t see it or I would have put it on the table." He took a passion fruit and sliced it in two halves.

He buttered his bread up and picked up a slice of cheese. "That is nice. You love new friends, Yozak."
