Yes, in a way. I am not sure how, but I do remember seeing this place before, and it was far more glorious than this.

"Glorious."

He stepped forward, with an effortlessly threatening grace in his movement. "Some few months have I been forced to reside here, yet 'glorious' was never a word that rose to mind. Tell me, what of this place do you remember? I have heard rumors about a departed war god and the decay of his leaving... but knowledge of one who had seen better days was remarkably lacking."

He found it doubtful that she would refuse him- if anything, he should have her gratitude for succeeding where she failed.

I do vaguely remember a man who brought only the strongest here. There was this girl sharing my suite, a man who could stop time, and a mystic with powers far beyond mine...
